Update on Winter/Spring Performances

Published January 21, 2021

Friends,

I'd like to take a moment to reflect on the challenges and highlights of 2020, and to share our plans for this winter and spring.

2020 began with intimate cabaret, rousing music, and modern circus. When COVID-19 shut our doors, we transitioned to free and affordable live-streamed music, dance, comedy, and holiday performances. Moving our Arts for Life program online brought new opportunities to engage with the arts, as did our new website and blog. And in November, we were proud to serve as a Voting Center. Watch our year in review.

Now, in 2021, we continue to bring you online arts opportunities. Following the guidance of health officials and campus leadership, the Carpenter Center will remain closed to in-person performance until at least May 2021.

This month, I invite you to view our Arts for Life calendar for more readings and vital discussions you can enjoy from home. And don’t miss our upcoming live-streaming performance, Charles Phoenix: Addicted to Americana, on January 30! A portion of ticket sales benefits the Carpenter Center.

Wishing you good health in the new year,

Megan Kline Crockett
